Following the main objective of the present study, an experimental facility was designed and built in order to perform tests to assess the influence of different slit-dam solutions on the sediment control efficiency to mitigate stony-type debris flows.
Thus, the experimental activity was separated into three different phases:
- Phase 1: Transverse layout run tests
- Pahse 2: Slit-dam embankments run tests
- Phase 3: Upstream looking V-shaped layout run tests
